When I saw these kids on Oprah, I was simply blown away. Of course I quickly researched more of their video performances in Youtube and I got to say, Kudos to these talents!
Charice Pempengco from the Philippines. Only 16 y/o, she joined a local singing contest in the Philippines but didn’t win. Her performance in the contest however was posted in youtube and from there on she rose to popularity. She’s already performed at Ellen, at Oprah, at Las Vegas (alongside Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, etc) and even made a duet with Andrea Bocelli singing “The Prayer”.
Shy and lacking of self-confidence, 13-yr-old Andrew Johnston from Britain’s Got Talent 2008 stunned the audience with his angelic voice. Having a history of being bullied by his friends because of his singing, he proved his talent as soon as he opened his mouth.
16-yr-old Shawn Johnston of Team USA Gymnastics can juggle the hectic schedule of school and gymnastics and still retain a very positive attitude expressed by her radiant smile. Earning a gold in the world games and the recent Olympics, I’m just amazed how she always was able be poised at the same time perfect with what she does. Despite Nastia Liukin winning the gold in the all around category, I still like Shawn Johnson better because she has this great personality and appeal.
There are lots of amazing kids out there and thanks to Youtube they’re being discovered.
