Our school had an early Christmas break which began on Dec. 16, 2008. I thought I would have the only one with a long break. But because holidays fall on middle of the week last year, a lot of offices had closed until the 1st week of the new year. So surprisingly  I was able to spend a lot of time with my brother, his wife, and my sister.

At the end of the vacation, I was yearning that this vacation would continue forever. I don’t want to go back to school… EVER! Ugh. But being a good student, I prepared myself to go to school on Jan. 5, 2009. The first school day of the new year. Or so I thought.

When I got to my school, I was flabbergasted to discover that there were no professors, no lit rooms, no students in uniform…except for me! Ugggh! I found out from one of the school employees that it’s the norm for the school to resume class on a Tuesday because Monday is reserved as clean-up day after a long vacation.  I was so embarrassed but not much since there’s no students to witness my folly.

So tomorrow, it will be really the 1st day of the school on a new year! Hopefully everything goes well for me until summer break!!!!
