Failing to figure out how to play SNES games on my DS lite (can someone please help me with this problem?), I decided to play the DS games that I currently have. Ninja Gaiden is a great action-adventure game. For those of you who has an inner yearning to be a ninja/samurai, this game fulfills that somehow.
Ninja Gaiden features the player emulating ninja/samurai skills. Using the stylus, the player slashes opponent, performing different slash combos and techniques. The graphic image is great. The action sequence is so believable and there’s no lag in the movements. The storyline is about good against evil and basically saving the ninja world from the evil dragon. There’s also interaction with the villagers who gives tips for the next challenge.
Pros: Great action, easy to play, great interactive game, good visuals.
Cons: The game is so easy to play. Just when the life energy is almost zero, the save icon (which also restores the life energy) appears so you get to extend your game time. I finish this game in 2 days and I’m wanting for more. The enemies are kind of easy to defeat and the game really shows you how to defeat the enemies. So it’s not really mentally challenging. Another thing that I didn’t like is the use of the stylus. I get so excited too much that I most of the time scratch the monitor too hard (although I have a screen protector).
Overall this game is really entertaining. A great game to play because the slashing style using the stylus is so addictive. I wish there’s a sequel of this one.
