Who will win?

Two popular reality TV shows are heading to finale. I’m talking about Dancing with the Stars and American Idol. For those of you who are following the shows, who do you think will win?

Well we’ve seen from the beginning that there are already clear favorites. For DWTS, it’s Nicole Scherzinger and Evan Lysacek; in American Idol, it’s Lee Dewyze and Crystal Bowersox. I’m now only guessing who will be in the third runner ups. Well American Idol revealed its final 3. Casey James is one lucky guy but I don’t think he’ll survive another elimination. Now DWTS, I’m betting that Erin Andrews will finish third.

But who cares about the third placers right? What I really want to know is – who will win? If I’m a betting man…err woman, my pick would be Nicole for DWTS. She has been truly amazing in her performances. I don’t care that she’s a pussycat doll and she has an edge when it comes to dancing and performing; it’s what she brings on the dance floor that counts. And she just gives 110% best every time. Their 50’s inspired paso doble dance was lauded as the best dance of all 10 seasons! I watched it more than 4 times! I don’t think there’ll be an upset this time compared to last season when Mya should have won but lost because she doesn’t have that spunky/showman personality as Donny Osmond. Well Evan, though a famous Olympian, doesn’t have the personality to back up his gold medal. So the mirror ball is going to Nicole for sure!

American Idol is down to three – Casey, Lee, Crystal. We all know the inevitable showdown is going to happen between Lee and Crystal so fans of other contestants should not feel bad. That’s the way this is going down, people. Between Lee and Crystal, I’m not a big fan of either but I’ll go for a sympathy vote for Crystal because she’s doing the show for her kid. However I have a gut feeling that Lee is going to win. He has it all – looks, radio-voice, and an appealing humble attitude. I’m placing my bet on Lee.

The TV couch potato has reared its head…or spud…once again. A lot of my favorite shows are coming up with new episodes. I’ve researched their season premiere so that I can put it here and not forget the date.

Gossip Girl – March 8, 9/8pm at CW

America’s Next Top Model – March 10, 8/7pm at CW

Dancing with the Stars – March 22, 8/7pm at ABC

Glee – April 13, 9/8 at Fox

Who’s who in Dancing with the Stars this season

Come March or April, I’ll become a couch potato again. A lot of my favorite TV shows are coming back for new season/episodes: Glee, Gossip Girl, America’s Next Top Model, Dancing with the Stars, etc. Added to those shows but currently I’m watching Grey’s Anatomy, Project Runway, Marriage Ref, and American Idol. I’m TV show-overloaded!!! It’s a good thing there’s TV recording or else I will break our remote control jumping from one channel to another.

This year’s Dancing with the Stars will have a fantastic lineup. They have famous celebrities in store for season 10. To name with their pro partners:

1. Buzz Aldrin and Ashley Costa – Buzz Aldrin has a mouthful of occupation: Astronaut, scientist/inventor, bestselling author, advocate for man’s future in space, Buzz Aldrin is considered one of the greatest heroes of space exploration.

2. Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya – Evan Lysacek is the Olympic 2010 gold medalist for men’s figure skating. But wouldn’t this intervene with his competition for the World Figure Skating Championship on March 20-29?

3. Pamela Anderson and Damian Whitewood – Pamela Anderson…need I say more?

4. Erin Anderson and Maksim Chmerkovsky – Since joining ESPN in 2004, Erin Andrews has become one of the most well-known sports reporters in the country.

5. Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke – the dance floor is never without a football player. Chad Ochocinco is one of the NFL’s most prolific wide receivers.

6. Aiden Turner and Edyta Sliwinska – Aiden Turner was cast for the role of Aiden Devane on ABC’s “All My Children” in 2002. He played that role for eight years, and recently left the show to pursue other acting opportunities in film and television. Hmm…lots of people from All My Children are joining the show.

7. Shannen Doherty and Mark Ballas – 90210 alum; will this make or totally break her career?

8. Kate Gosselin and Tony Dovolani – why is she here? Shouldn’t she be focusing on taking care of her 8 kids?

9. Niecy Nash and Louis Amstel – Niecy Nash is the host of Clean House.

10. Jake Pavelka and Chelsie Hightower – the Bachelor turns to dancer. I guess this is his free dance lessons for the wedding.

11. Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough – Pussycat doll Nicole has the most advantage here. Is there going to be a stripper pole?

Samantha Harris is leaving the show and she will be replaced by Melissa Rycroft to host the show with Tom Bergeron. There’s still no Julianne Hough this time. Is she out for good? Dancing with the Stars season 10 will premiere on March 22 at 8/7 on ABC.
